BHFF 2012 Online Film Submission BHFF now offers service for online submission of your films to participate in BHFF 2012 film selection. This service eliminates the need for you to mail your DVD submissions. Your film can now be uploaded to our secured server directly from your computer. Please keep in mind that if you prefer to mail your submission you can still do so by sending your film formats to the address provided on the BHFF 2012 Entry Form. Also keep in mind that your submission to the BHFF 2012 is for screening purposes only and does not guarantee your admission to BHFF 2012 final selection. BHFF does not use DVD formats for public screening so you may also be requested to submit an official copy of your film in a format appropriate for public screening. If you are making an online submission by uploading your film file to our secure server please contact BHFF Online (bhffonline@bhffnyc.org) to make proper arrangements. Preparing your film for online submission Your film will need to be submitted as a DVD image file .ISO or similar. Please contact BHFF Online if you wish to submit your file in a different file format. There is no limit on file size. You will also be required to submit your BHFF 2012 Entry Form and any supporting material, such as a video trailer (if you have one), still or marketing images, synopses and other. If you have English subtitles for your film and they are not "burnt" into the video file you will also need to provide a .SRT file of the subtitles. If you choose so you can "pack" all your files in a standard compression file either .ZIP or .RAR using WinZip or WinRAR programs. Uploading your file(s) You will be assigned a unique user name and password by BHFF Online with an online file hosting service where you can upload your file(s). Your file(s) will be viewable only to those who have your unique user name and password. Once you complete your upload please inform BHFF Online that files are ready for admission. We will download your submitted material and remove it from the online server. It is important for you not to change your assigned account password or we will not be able to access your files. Please keep in mind that once you are assigned the user name and password you will have only 48 hours to complete your uploads. If you do not complete your uploads within 48 hours please contact BHFF Online to be assigned a new user name and password. Copyrights clarified All video material, either mailed or digitally transferred, is retained by the BHFF for screening purposes as consideration for showcasing at the BHFF. Prior to the announcement of the BHFF 2012 Official Film Selection your video material may be digitally shared among BHFF Staff and the Official BHFF Jury to evaluate your work. Respecting your copyrights on the submitted video material, the BHFF shall not allow further digital distribution of your submitted video material to parties not employed by the BHFF.
