Film Synopsis:

Somewhere in Europe a Greek owes to a French, who owes to a Slovenian and she owes to an Italian, who owes money to the Greek. A German owes no one, she just wants to get a good night’s sleep. The Brit is looking for an exit. The Invisible Hand of Adam Smith was made in one shot, with a cast and crew from more than ten countries. Each of them speaks their own language, yet all of them understand each other.


Director's Biography

Slobodan Maksimović (1975) is a filmmaker originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who currently lives in Ljubljana, where he studied film and TV directing at the Academy of Performing Arts. Before that he worked as a journalist for a time. His short films 1/2 (2007) and AgapE (2008) have been successfully screened and awarded at many international film festivals, as well as his debut feature film the dark comedy Thanks for Sunderland (Hvala za Sunderland, 2012) and youth film Nika (2016). His last short film The Invisible Hand of Adam Smith (2017) won eight awards at international festivals.
