BHFF 2024 PROGRAM VENUE
 SVA THEATER | 333 W. 23rd Street, New York, NY 10011

In 2016, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival (BHFF) made a move to the SVA Theatre, the cultural center of New York City’s artistically-vibrant Chelsea neighborhood.

The theatre serves the School of Visual Arts, the arts and entertainment industries, and the community at large. It hosts a range of events year-round, from film screenings to artist lectures to design conferences and much more.
The SVA Theatre opened in 2009 and has become a world-class facility. It’s widely known for Milton Glaser’s iconic kinetic sculpture atop the marquee, which comes to life every hour on the hour.

The building originally opened in 1963 as the RKO 23rd Street. It housed both cinematic and performing arts organisations, most notably Broadway’s Roundabout Theatre Company, and played host to hundreds of artistic events over the years.
The theatre consists of two auditoriums, the Silas and Beatrice Theatres (named for SVA’s founder and his wife), which seat a total of 745 guests.
