This film follows Armin, a forty-year-old man living a stable, but unfulfilling life as a married, employed man. To bring some excitement into his life, he often visits the betting shop, where his lover Selma works, and places long-shot bets. When he actually wins on one of those bets and stands to receive a large amount of money, everything gets far more unpredictable, starting with his loss of the winning ticket and nightlong search to find it.
Nedim Karalic, born August 5th, 1988 in Sarajevo, steers his career path towards film and television starting from his high school education, during which he studied for RTV technician. After finishing high school until his enrollment to Sarajevo Film academy he works on recording and editing documentaries, as well as cameraman in TV studio, and editor of TV reports and shows. Short film “Father”, shot as his final project during the studies, won following awards: Grand Prix on “Bastau” International Film Festival of Student Films and Film Schools, Second prize on KRAF – Kragujevac Festival of Antiwar, Engaged and Academic Film.
He currently works as Production Coordinator on Sarajevo Film Academy, and he is also engaged in Directors Guild of Bosnia and Herzegovina as Secretary General and in Film Center as Organizer. In the meantime, he is preparing a documentary series and a feature-length documentary for Al Jazeera Balkans.
